Justine has been coaching for nine years, starting from a background as a competitive swimmer that gave her an early, personal understanding of how much structure matters when you're trying to get better at something specific. She holds a Kinesiology degree from Queen's University, an ISSA Personal Training certification, and a certificate specifically in disability and physical activity — earned from real work as a Sport Development Manager at SportAbility, coaching people with disabilities.
That combination means she's coached plenty of bodies that don't move the way a textbook says they should, and it shows in how she frames things for clients: less about looking a certain way, more about moving well enough to keep doing the things — sport, kids, daily life — that actually matter to someone's day. At Kraken she focuses on semi-private and teen training.
